Georender MicroScale Texturing (MST)
So what is MicroScale Texturing? MST is a tehnique which allows the representation of extremely fine surface details on Flight simulator terrain. With a virtually infinite resolution it is possible to display highly detailed textures such as individual blades of grass and small stones gravel, even sand. Through careful implementation, this extremely detailed technique has virtually no effect on framerates or performance!
Below are some examples of the MST uses and capability in Georender software - |

Used for all tarmac surfaces at Orcas Island, MST combined with faded markings create a highly believable effect. |

The most complex implementation of MST yet, at Chelan Muni. Tarmac and grass meet at natural looking borders across the entire airfield. | |||
