IMPORTANT NOTE

THE DEFAULT SHORLINES IN FS9 ARE NOT ACCURATE ENOUGH FOR HIGH RESOLUTION SCENERY SUCH AS THIS, The resulting innaccuracies are NOT CORRECTED in this demo scenery so they will result in terrain distortions around some of the lakes. All shorelines are fully corrected in the retail product. FSX scenery does not suffer from this problem.

Grand Teton is a famous and majestic mountain range south of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.  Twice designated as a National Park (1929 and 1950), it encompasses the young jagged peaks of the Teton Range, and the rare beauty of the surrounding  valley floor and glacial lakes.

The Georender scenery extend far beyond the boundaries of the N.P. and is designed to blend in with the previous Yellowstone scenery (U.S. Parks Series Volume 1).  The area includes the town of Jackson, The National Elk Refuge, considerable areas of the Washakte Wilderness, Teton National Forest and Gros Ventre Range as well as big parts of the Targhee Range.

But the jewels of the region are unmistakably the massive Tetons themselves.  The abruptly jagged peaks and the dizzying vertical walls of rocks characterize the park.  Their textbook appearance makes them one of the worlds most recognisable examples of a young vigorous mountain range.  Debris deposited n the valley floor has left unusually flat plains surrounding the range and a scattering of waterways and lakes.   From the air the full beauty of the range is apparent and all aspects of its formation and geology are exposed.
